It is possible to insure trailers and additional units with your main vehicle.

Vehicles that are financed can be taken to Mexico, in most cases

If your vehicle is financed, contact your finance company to find out if you can take the vehicle into México .
If it is possible to do so, the finance company will issue you a written letter with permission to take the vehicle into Mexico.

Can I buy a Tourist Auto Policy for Mexico if I travel in a cargo van or heavy-duty pickup, for example, E250, F250, F350, C2500, C3500?

If the vehicle exceeds 3.5 tons (7,716.17 pounds) of load capacity, you cannot request a temporary import permit with Banjercito to legally enter Mexico with the truck, therefore, this is not allowed and a policy cannot be purchased since the vehicle would not be legally in Mexico.
