This crossing is located on the Veterans International Bridge between the city of Brownsville, Texas in the United States and Matamoros, Tamaulipas in Mexico. On the American side, it connects with I-69E, US 77, US 83 and Avenida 5 de Mayo on the Mexican side. The port of entry into the United States at this crossing is the Veterans Port.
The Veterans International Bridge is one of three international bridges that cross the border between the cities of Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros Tamaulipas. This bridge is also known as “Puente de los Veteranos”, “Puente de Los Tomates”, “Puente Internacional de Veteranos en Los Tomates “, “Puente Internacional Ignacio Zaragoza” y “Puente Puerta Matamoros III”.
