This crossing is located between the city of Los Ebanos, Texas in the United States andGustavo Diaz Ordaz, Tamaulipas in Mexico. On the American side, it connects with FM 886 and Avenida Adolfo Lopez Mateo on the Mexican side. This Los Ebanos port of entry is the only crossing that operates through an International Ferry for passenger vehicles and pedestrians only. Trucks cannot use this crossing.
The Ferry Los Ebanos – Diaz Ordaz is also known as “El Chalan”, “El Ferry Los Ebanos”. It is a cable ferry that works manually, its capacity is for three vehicles and it crosses the Rio Grande between the US and Mexico.
