Morelia posee un legado arquitectonico colonial de gran valor donde pareciera que el tiempo no ha dejado huella al admirar sus antiguos edificios muy bien conservados.<\/p>\n

La ciudad de Morelia fue fundada en 1541 con el nombre de Valladolid. Despu\u00e9s de la guerra de independencia la ciudad tom\u00f3 el nombre de Morelia en honor a Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Morelos, considerado un h\u00e9roe nacional en M\u00e9xico. \u00a0Morelia esta considerada una joya colonial conocida como la ciudad de la cantera rosa, su centro hist\u00f3rico refleja la belleza del estilo barroco tablerado. \u00a0Fue declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1991 tanto por su legado arquitect\u00f3nico como por la transcendencia hist\u00f3rica de sus edificios. Al pasear por el centro hist\u00f3rico te admiraras de sus impecables calles, edificios, templos, plazas, conventos y casonas donde cada uno guarda la historia de Michoac\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Fue construida en cantera rosa con un estilo barroco tablerado desde el siglo XVI hasta el siglo XVIII. Uno de sus mayores tesoros es el \u00f3rgano monumental de 4600 flautas incorporado a inicios de siglo. Pose dos joyas en plata, una es el manifestador estilo barroco y la pila bautismal en estilo neocl\u00e1sico ambos del siglo XVIII. y su joya m\u00e1s antigua data del siglo XVI que es la imagen \u00a0del se\u00f1or de la Sacrist\u00eda creado con pasta de ca\u00f1a de ma\u00edz.<\/p>\n

El Acueducto de Morelia es una de las piezas arquitect\u00f3nicas m\u00e1s representativas en la ciudad.<\/p>\n

Fue \u00a0construido a finales del siglo XVIII con el fin de resolver la escasez de agua en la ciudad, con el cu\u00e1l se generaron fuentes de trabajo para muchos ind\u00edgenas. Recorre una distancia de 1700 metros con los 253 arcos que lo conforman y su altura varia alcanzando los 8 metros en su parte m\u00e1s alta. Actualmente es un atractivo tur\u00edstico importante de la ciudad.<\/p>\n

El Palacio de Clavijero es otro gran ejemplar del barroco tablerado en Morelia<\/p>\n

El Palacio de Clavijero fue construido por los Jesuitas en el a\u00f1o de 1660 y fue usado como colegio jesuita en sus inicios. Lleva por nombre a uno de los mas brillantes maestros de este colegio Francisco Javier Clavijero. Hoy en d\u00eda es usado como centro cultural.<\/p>\n
