The historic center of Aguascalientes shows us in each building and in each plaza the great wealth and abundance that the city reached in the colonial era. Without a doubt, the city of Aguascalientes is a colonial treasure that has prevailed until today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Touring the historic center is the best way to begin to know this wonderful city. Visit the Plaza Patria<\/strong> and continue visiting the Government Palace<\/strong>, the Cathedral<\/strong> and the Municipal Palace<\/strong>. Enjoy this tour and spend a very pleasant afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each neighborhood of the city of Aguascalientes consists of its own church and plaza. The four founding districts of the historic center are: El Barrio Encino<\/strong>, initially called Barrio de Triana<\/strong>. This neighborhood is the oldest and has the temple of the Black Christ of Encino<\/strong>, which is venerated year after year. The Barrio del San Marcos<\/strong> dates from the beginning of the 17th century and it is here where the National Fair of San Marcos<\/strong> is celebrated, its temple and its garden square have the same name Temple and Garden of San Marcos, the Calaveras Festival<\/strong> is also celebrated in this neighborhood. The Barrio de Guadalupe<\/strong> had its beginnings in the second half of the 18th century, its temple of Guadalupe with a baroque style is considered a historical treasure and its garden surrounded by ash and alamos. The Barrio de la Estaci\u00f3n<\/strong> is considered the most recent and modern on Alameda Avenue, here we find the Los Arquitos Cultural Cente<\/strong>r where workshops and conferences are held continuously.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among its most well-known museums in the city of Aguascalientes is the Museum of Death<\/strong> that expresses with works by Octavio Bajonero Gil how we as Mexicans relate to death. Other museums of interest include the Tres Centurias Ferrocarrilero Museum<\/strong>, the Museum of Contemporary Art<\/strong>, the Aguascalientes Museum<\/strong> and the Jos\u00e9 Guadalupe Posada Museum.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Fiesta Brava in the city of Aguascalientes is one of its biggest attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n
